How do i play in the tournments on guitar hero 3 for the xbox 360 ?

so i made my account on the guitar hero website and found alist of all the tournys that are going on but when i join one i never know what to do next. theres no list of songs i have to play or anything. what do i do can someone please explain this to mein full detail?

Should i get rockband or guitar hero 3 for the PS3?

i have friends coming over all the time and they all love to play on the ps3 and if i get guitar hero 3 are additional guitars expensive and what songs do they both come with list some please?
and if i get guitar hero 3 do i get wireless?

rockband is the ultimate local multiplayer game and a much deeper game than guitar hero.
It is also much easier (which makes it more new-user friendly as ppl will not be as frustrated)

GH2/GH3/Rockband for ps3 all use wireless guitars.
GH and RB are not interchangeable however so it's worth noting that you cannot just buy the game-only version of GH after the fact and have any enjoyment.

Does the converter that was created for guitar hero 2 for TAC guitars on PS2 work for guitar hero 3?

I bought two TAC wireless guitars when I bought guitar hero 2 for my PS2. They both worked fine right out of the box. Now the don't work on guitar hero 3. Where can I find the right converter to use my guitar on guitar hero 3? I have seen some on an online auction sight that say they were designed for guitar hero 2 but i don't see any specifically listed for guitar hero 3. Help.
