I’ve had my Wii for about a year, which I’ve been playing on a pretty small tv. I bought a new LCD flat screen and when I hooked up my Wii everything just seemed so slow and laggy. The Wii Menu cursor is very unresponsive,
Guitar Hero III’s video and audio is not in sync, and
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is about half a second late for commands.
I need help please!!!
-I've set Sensitivity
-I've (tried) to collaborate lag (Guitar Hero)
-I don't know what to do for Brawl
HDTVs generally apply anti-aliasing and various other processes to the image they recieve to clean it up, and these processes take time to do, meaning the signal it recieves is not immediately shown to you. Depending on the quality of the program and hardware in the HDTV used to do this, sometimes it will be as much as a half-second of delay. Most modern HDTVs have the ability to turn these off.
LCD and Plamsa technologies also have a limitation that forces them to upscale or downscale images to their native resolution before they can display them. Again, this is a computerized process which takes time and delays the display of an image the set recieves. The only practical solution for this is to set the output of all devices connected to that HDTV to the TV’s native resolution, but this isn’t an option for the Wii.
It has nothing to do with your Wii and everything to do with having a (probably crappy) HDTV.
So for Christmas, my boyfriend says he wants Guitar Hero III as one of my choices for what i should get him. He told me he has PS3 and i found a Guitar Hero 3 bundle for PS3.
Here is the link: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05896180000P?vName=Computers%20&%20Electronics&cName=VideoGames&sName=PlayStation%203%20Games&sid=I0084400010000100694&aff=Y
I dont really know about video games so is this everything he would need to play it? Or would i have to buy the controller thingy or anything else separately?
Taht is exactly what you should get your boyfriend. You just buy that one item and he will have everything he needs. Trust me i know this i did the same thing
Please make me your best answer
in my laptop its a dell windows xp a message comes out that says this game does not support your video card what does this mean if anyone can help me thanks
It means that your video card is not good enough to run GH 3 on it, so you have to go about and buy a new video card.
i have had trouble opening this game as my Video card/graphics card is not good enough and doesn’t meet the systems lowest requirements so i downloaded 3d analyzer and turned all the unnecessary things of such as the crowd the visual to low quality but when i load the game it crashes when i choose the song ad noting happens it either says “Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock is not responding” or “Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock has stopped working please help
you need a new computer with a better graphics card
My boyfriend plays a lot of video games, GHIII, HALO, Oblivion, CoD, and more! My favoriet is Guitar Hero III….Tell Me Yours, and ill see if i agree, and vote your answer the best!
Guitar hero 3
I watch videos on Youtube of people creating custom songs on Guitar Hero II and III. Could you give me the instructions step by step? I have an Xbox 360 and Guitar Hero II.
You have to download a program and put your guitar hero disc in the computer drive. Then you have to create your own songs.
Hi. I have a HP Pavilion m7367 Windows XP Media Center Edition PC that has an ATI Radeon 7900 video card added. I understand this is an expensive video card. While playing Guitar Hero III it died. First it froze the screen while the game continued. Upon reboot it lost pixels. Eventually it just stopped refreshing the screen at all. When I removed it the computer worked fine (there is also integrated graphics on this HP model).
Without becoming a video card expert, what do I need to know before I replace this card? Will I have the same problem? My guess is that it overheated. What can I/Should I do to prevent this? The card that died had an aluminum “fin” heat sink on the processor chip.
Thanks!
You are right! My card is not an ATI, it's a BFG TEForce 7900 GT OC, with an onboard fan/heat sink and 256M memory.
The card was added to the computer, which has integrated graphics (do I have to turn these off?). The computer is a Pavilion m7470n, which comes with a 400W power supply. On the night of the big freeze we were playing Guitar Hero III with dual guitars (USB- they take some juice), and the card was set up to clone the graphics onto the TV via S-video. Do you think that would take alot of juice? Hmmm… things to consider…
I checked out the site suggested by mrc22091 and it has alot of GeForce 7900's; If I assume the GeForce 7900 GTO is the same as GeForce 7900 GT OC (on my card) then it requires 92W at 3D and 27W at idle. The replacement card I'm getting - Radeon HD 2600 XT requires 49W in 3D and 21W at idle, so it needs about 1/2 the power at full throttle. It also has a bigger fan and heat sink. Hope this fixes it!
the ATI 7900 is not a strong graphics card. The ATI 7*** series is very old. However, I don't think the ATI 7900 actually exists, so we actually don't know anything about your computer.
To replace it, find out what interface slot it uses (AGP, PCI, PCI-e) and get a card that can use the same interface. The stock heatsink that comes with the card should suffice for cooling it down.
EDIT/reply to other answers: A weak power supply does not damage video cards! The only consequence of a weak power supply is that the game will randomly crash and the computer will randomly shut down under heavy loads. Since whatever card the asker has came installed with the HP Pavilion m7367, it is likely the power supply does support it. Otherwise, HP sucks…
You only need a new power supply if you are upgrading to an extremely powerful card. You can judge power requirements at this site:

Hi, I want to film some Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock footage on my TV with my Canon PowerShot SD1100IS, but everytime I try, black lines come out and its only on my camera. What should i do to sync my camera and my TV or whatever, but how do I get them out? Please help me.
The horizontal lines that you see in the recorded video footage in your camera is a result of the video display technology in an analog television. When you watch a TV program the images are projected into the screen one line at a time at a rapid rate. The human eye can not perceive the ever changing image but your camera can, therefore the black lines will appear.
If you want to record something from a video source, the best way is to capture it digitally using a dedicated capture card in your computer.
However if you must record the video in your Canon Powershot, I suggest you change your TV. That's right… buy a new digital TV and hook it up to your PS3 or whatever. The technology behind the new digital TVs is called a progressive scan, if a video is recorded directly from the screen, you don't get the annoying lines because the higher resolution and refresh rates makes for a better recorded pictures.
PS: There is no setting in your camera or your TV that you can do to improve the captured video.
I want to trade my old video games towards the purchase of a Playstation 3. I’m willing to trade all my games except Guitar Hero II, GH III, and Rock Band (disc only) for PS2. I have the GH2 red SG shaped controller. I want to know if I should go ahead and keep those games and buy the 80 gig PS3 so I can play them but I don’t know about the controller. Should I buy an adapter and keep using that SG controller or would the GH3 for PS3 controller work or would the Rock Band or GH Aerosmith controllers for PS3 work? I do plan on buying future Guitar Heros and I will probably get the full package, but would that controller work for the PS2 guitar games? If I got an adapter would the PS2 guitar controller work for future guitar games? How much is an adapter? Where can I get an adapter? I just need some info before I decide to sell the music games. I know i can rebuy GH3 and Rock Band for PS3 but GH2 has my favorite soundtrack and I might decide to buy Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero 80s later.
heres one for 7.99

Other than the video card, I'm just wondering what else i need to upgrade.
